The final light of the moon before day.

I have finished the book, Night, by Elie Wiesel, who is one of the survivors of the holocaust. He starts with his life before going to the camps. He then says of how the Nazis are taking over their village, then separates his family. He also talks about the life in the concentration camps. He also talks about how his father died.

I think that Elie spent a lot of time on the events happening before his fathers death, because he felt bad about not doing what his father wanted before he died. After that, he doesn't talk about events that happened after his dads death, except the time when they were free. He also writes a copy of his speech when he revived the Nobel Peace Prize. He might have done that so the readers could read the speech that was related to the book.

Most people have  at least one member of their family, who went through the holocaust. If this was a public blog, I might have been receiving angry comments on this post. But, as I said before, I am sorry that we had a person who believed to rid the world of the Jewish population. I just want to say that, we can only be in true peace, when all of the people of the world do not have a grudge with another race or religion.

  1. Interesting post. Of course that is the ideal world, where no one is biased or violent. But maybe the best we can ever really do is make sure that biases never get out of hand again like they did during the holocaust. We can insure that there are always enough people thinking clearly that no one can ever seize control like Hitler did again. And I agree: Elie definitely feels the weight of what happened to his father.
