Night

In the book "Night" so many things are happening that scared me so much. People are nearly going crazy! All they think about it themselves and how they can get food and live a little more comfortably than the others. The way they act with each other is shocking, so many of them will get beat up or beat others just for something little. Staying in a concentration camp drive people nuts. They start off being so kind, gentle, and nice but as days go by they change into someone greedy, rough, and scary. They start to care more for themselves rather than working together to make it possible to go through such hard times like this.

In the book a fake Jew dentist was calling people in to take their gold crown (which is a gold teeth) so he could use it for his own benefits. This is bad in two ways; first he is making the Jews look bad and because of him maybe the Jews will be hated more than before. And the second way is all those people who feel for his trick won’t have gold teeth for the future where they could’ve used it to buy something when they need it. Nobody thinks twice about doing something wrong, they will do anything to live.

Also back in the train where Ms.Schachter was out of control loosing her mind the people on the train hit her to calm her down. They all wanted peace and quiet because they were upset. With all the depressing thoughts going through everyone's mind it was enough for them. But Ms.Schachter made it more frustrating for them. Yeah sure it was annoying for her to out of no where say "Fire fire!" but that doesn't mean they would hit her.

And this guy Franek wanted Wiesel's crown but Wiesel didnt want to give it to him. And Franek warned him about it and said " I want the answer by tomorrow" When Wiesel asked his father if it was okay to give the crown the father said no but Franek went insane and got his revenge and tortured them both to march in steps to get the crown. Franek made a very unfair deal too he wanted Wiesel's ration of bread so that he can also have Wiesel's crown. This didn't even make sense to me. Why did it sound fair to Franek? Wiesel doesn't even get anything from this other than extra soup for only a few weeks.

Everyone stops worrying about others and begins to think about themselves and become so selfish and greedy that they become violent. The way that the book explains how some people get hanged or beat up makes me feel upset. Innocent people is being punished for no reason, people going crazy, nobody cares about others anymore, they only look for things that they need in order for them to survive in Auschwitz.
