RANT TIME

The story "Night" by Elie Wiesel is a memoir on the life of Wiesel during the holocaust. Wiesel includes disturbing images of people dying in the most horrible ways possible. Elie Wiesel uses powerful imagery to really show the reader the horrendous events that took place in such a depressing time. Elie Wiesel wrote this book to show the inhumanity of people. I find Wiesel very, very brave to be able to share such a story that probably made him very emotional. I think he was also brave because critics might be harsh and say that they dont want to be reminded of a time like the holocaust. So far in the book, I have witnessed nothing but evil committed by the Nazis.

I personally find this time disgusting. The Nazis were delusional in the sense that they believed that they were victims and took matters in their hands to get rid of what they believed was the "problem", Jews. The evil Nazis thought that jews were crazy. I find Nazis disgusting and they killed a HUGE amount of innocent humans. How could they do such a thing? It's crazy, inhuman, cruel, disgusting, awful, and gross. I dont know how anyone could possibly believe that this is the right thing to do. The things that these idiot Nazis did was immoral and was the most depressing event in history. There have been many other occasions where other races and religions have been abused but none elevated as far as the holocaust after millions of jews were killed.

Overall, I think that Wiesel is really talented because he is able to make his readers rant to release all their emotion. I personally really needed to rant because whenever I read books and articles about the holocaust, I get really emotional and it gets stuck in my head for a very long time. Although I find this topic very sensitive, I find it very important that we learn about our past to help us in our future. Finally, I really enjoy this book club because we are learning about an interesting topic even though it is very sad.
